Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, who has been in the limelight because of his controversial movie The Kashmir Files, has been making the headlines these days for expressing his views on Bollywood work culture and getting into social media spats with people who oppose his views. He took to Twitter on Friday to share a video of him going on a morning walk with Y security and it has left the netizens angry.

Sharing the 27 second video on his official handle, he wrote, “The price one has to pay to show the Genocide of Hindus in Kashmir. In a Hindu majority country. Freedom of expression, ha! #ImprisonedInOwnCountry #Fatwa.” In the video, the filmmaker can be seen walking on the streets of Delhi with armed men behind him. Fans have reacted negatively to the short clip as they are wondering why a filmmaker like Vivek Agnihotri is getting such a security. Expressing their anger, one user commented, “The price is being paid by the ordinary taxpayers of this country and you are flaunting your security paid by them. There is no security concern for you. And if at all it is, why don’t you hire private security, you aren’t a public representative. Pay for your luxury.” Another said, “Kitna use karenge Kashmir ko for your benefit?”









Known for being outspoken and blunt, when a netizen expressed how shocking it is to see the hard earned money of tax payers being wasted on the security for a director, Vivek replied by saying, “Tax payers money is used here to combat religious terrorism.
